And that's a real measurment: it's not a case of the counter counting
its own reference.  The counter is using the rubidium as a reference,
and is counting the 10544a that is running in in another instrument.

This particular 10544a will probably end up in the counter you see
pictured here.  That way, I can have reasonable accuracy even when the
rubidium oscillator is doing something else.
